- Upon submission, the editorial team runs the manuscript through Turnitin.
- If significant similarities are detected, the manuscript is flagged for further review.
-
Assessment:
- The Editor-in-Chief reviews the Turnitin report to determine the extent of plagiarism.
- Minor instances of improper citation or similarity may be addressed by requesting the author to revise the manuscript.
-
Actions for Major Plagiarism:
- If the manuscript contains substantial plagiarism, it will be rejected outright.
- The author(s) will be notified of the rejection and provided with the Turnitin report detailing the issues.
-
Repeat Offenses:
- If an author is found to have committed plagiarism on multiple occasions, they may be blacklisted from submitting to SITEDI.
